Mediation has been a long used form of dispute resolution in the construction industry. With well advised clients it can enable the contract works to continue while a particular dispute is resolved.

Daniel first qualified as a mediator in 1992. Using his knowledge of mediation techniques and preparation he then chose to focus on advising clients and appearing for clients in mediations rather than being the mediator. While much of his training has been in facilitative mediation Daniel is an advocate of a more intrusive role for the mediator.

Daniel is accredited under the National Mediator Accreditation Scheme in Australia and has now returned to take on the role of mediator. In his role as mediator, Daniel takes a practical approach to assisting the parties to resolve their disputes. He is focussed on outcomes and, if possible the preservation of relationships between the parties. He is looking forward to an increasing  role as the mediator.
